The National Archives has published the opening hours of the reading rooms in the autumn from 1 September onwards. The longer evening opening hours of the reading rooms will start in mid-September. The details of all the offices can be found on the National Archives website.
The number of seats in the reading rooms is still restricted because of the coronavirus pandemic. Consequently, the evening times are reserved for customers carrying out research, and groups cannot be received as a rule. Any exceptions must always be agreed separately with the office in question.
