Making a Modern Archive blog: READ project’s final meeting and the Transkribus seminar in Helsinki
Making a Modern Archive blog documents the process of implementing the technologies developed in the READ project to the National Archive of Finland’s digital infrastructure.
Making a Modern Archive
Making a Modern Archive received funding from the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. The project aims to implement the technologies developed in the READ project into The National Archive’s digital infrastructure, and to create a sustainable workflow for handwritten text recognition in the National Archive.
The project’s objective is also to process the registration records of the renovated court records from the 19th century into a computed readable form. After this, the registration records will be keyword searchable in the National Archive’s new user interface.
