Changes in opening hours
The brancehs of the National Archives in Helsinki, Hämeenlinna and Oulu will be closed until 20 December. due to the coronavirus pandemic. Turku branch is closed until 11.12. due to renovation.
Other branches are open normally, but the situation may change rapidly due to regional regulations by health authorities. Please check the current opening hours in advance!
Memory of the World
UNESCO’s Memory of the World programme protects documentary and written cultural heritage in Finland and all over the world, and promotes its availability. Finland’s national Memory of the World committee organises the programme in Finland. It maintains the national Memory of the World register, in which nationally significant documentary cultural heritage has been collected.
